Se analiza cómo pueden contribuir los sistemas de investigación e información a planificar, adiestrar y administrar más eficazmente los recursos humanos para la salud. Dada la per-manente búsqueda de métodos para adaptar la formación del personal sanitario a las necesi-dades de la comunidad, esta obra adopta un planteamiento basado en problemas reales, prestando especial atención a lo que puede hacerse para mejorar las decisiones que guían el desarrollo del personal. En toda ella se hace hincapié en la necesidad de facilitar a quienes toman esas decisiones un mayor respaldo infor-mativo, especialmente en vista de su efecto en ciertos problemas clave como el exceso de personal y el desempleo, la distribución desigual, la escasa satisfacción en el trabajo y la migración. |
