The opening chapter cites bleak statistics, expressed as morbidity and mortality rates for preventable diseases, that illustrate the great disparities that exist between the level of health care available in developed and developing countries. The remaining chapters indicate the broad lines of action to be taken in the health sector and in related social and economic sectors and describe ways in which countries can develop their health systems on the basis of primary health care. The strategy also specifies intersectoral activities that reinforce one another and thus contribute to human and health development.Item type | Current library | Collection | Call number | Copy number | Status | Date due | Barcode |
