Ce rapport, qui s'adresse aux fabricants et aux autorités nationales de contrôle, présente à la fois les normes nouvelles ou révisées concernant des substances particulières et les travaux en cours ou prévus susceptibles d'influer sur ces normes dans un avenir proche. La partie la plus importante, se compose de 14 annexes. La première est le rapport complet d'une consultation de l'OMS sur la standardisation des interférons. D'autres données sur les interférons figurent dans une annexe précisant les normes relatives aux interférons humains produits par des techniques de génie génétique. D'autres annexes présentent les normes nouvellement adoptées ou modifiées relatives à la fabrication, à la mise à l'épreuve et au contrôle de la qualité de certains vaccins. Ce sont notamment le vaccin antirougeoleux vivant, le vaccin anti-encéphalite japonaise inactivé, le vaccin anti-hépatite B préparé à partir de plasma, le vaccin antipoliomyélitique buccal, le vaccin antiamaril et le vaccin BCG desséché. |
