Provides overall evaluations and reevaluations of carcinogenicity to humans for chemicals, groups of chemicals, industrial processes, occupational exposures, and cultural habits previously evaluated in volumes 1-42 of the Monographs. Following an explanation of methods and procedures, the book summarizes overall evaluations for 628 agents, listing these in groups as either carcinogenic to humans, probably carcinogenic to humans, possibly carcinogenic to humans, not classifiable, or probably not carcinogenic to humans. The most extensive part of the book consists of reevaluations of previous conclusions, in the light of subsequent findings, for some 189 agents for which data on carcinogenicity in humans are available. Each evaluation also incorporates conclusions from a previous working group concerned with findings from experimental tests for genetic and related effects and from studies of DNA damage and chromosomal effects in humans.
