The book proposes four categories of indicators: health policy indicators, social and economic indicators, indicators of the provision of health care, and indicators of health status, including quality of life. Particular emphasis is placed on the information requirements for the various indicators, the principal sources of data and alternative methods of data collection, and the information analysis involved. The book also defines a list of twelve precise indicators for use as monitoring tools. The selection of these indicators, based on the WHO conviction that humanity has a right to receive adequate health care, marks a major move away from reliance on indicators of health status alone.Item type | Current library | Call number | Copy number | Status | Date due | Barcode |
