Assesses data on acecarbromal, carbromal, clomethiazole, chloralodol, methylpentynol, triclofos, and secobarbital. For each, recommendations concerning the need for, and level of, control are made following an assessment of available data on the similarity to already known compounds and effects on the central nervous system, dependence potential, likelihood of abuse, and therapeutic usefulness. The book also contains detailed reports on five designer drugs : three analogues of fentanyl, MPPP, and PEPAP. All five were recommended for control in Schedules I and IV.
