Décrit l'initiative qui a conduit à la création du CIRC. Ce texte concerne essentiellement la période de 1963 à 1967 ainsi que la période de juin 1967 à juin 1972 qui correspond à la phase pendant laquelle le CIRC se mettait en place, antérieurement à son installation dans le bâtiment construit grâce à la généreuse initiative de la ville de Lyon. Le rapport décrit le développement du projet initial à travers les arcanes de la diplomatie et du débat scientifique, mais aussi les buts et objectifs qui ont inspirés la création du Centre, et ce que celui-ci a effectivement été en mesure d'accomplir au cours des 25 premières années de son existence. |
