Subjective well-being / by Rup Nagpal, Helmut Sell. - New Delhi : WHO Regional Office for South-East Asia, 1985. - 161 p. - SEARO regional health papers ; no. 7 .

A report on the objectives, design, findings, and conclusions of a study conducted to explore the extent to which individual perceptions of subjective well-being can serve as an indicator of the quality of life. The study takes its focus from the importance accorded to spiritual, physical and mental well-being within the traditional medical system of India. The authors conclude that socioeconomic groups differed little in their sense of well-being and, moreover, that the overall perception of ill-being was significantly diminished in the presence of good health.
